Cosmic A* is a solo work that observes the body as an archaeological space , and engages this body in rituals of excavation - revealing new and unbound mythologies - allowing for a limitless agency of self-representation and rootedness. It is a somatic unfurling - a giving back to and ascending of the body to new territories of itself, of centaurs and hybrids within. 

Research & Context
Excavation transforms space into time: as the act of digging is in a way the act of going back in time ; we dig through layers of dirt and earth that have formed over years.
What we dig is the space-time which, in turn becomes a form of voyage.
Excavation is also a gesture that disfigures the landscape, and thus in the act of excavation we become disfigured ourselves in order to reveal new stories within our own , personal landscape.

The body is a site of being.
It is matter that is shaped, that is destroyed, that becomes and emerges.
It is a site of revolution, of oppression.
Of representation and mis-representation.
Of wholeness and fragmentation.
The body is a site of constant dialogue with political systems, it is the surface where
ideas and action meet. It is the container of manifestos, of historical traumas, of unanswered questions and fragile answers. It is a cosmic force of which we’ve barely tapped its power.
The body has never crystallized.
It is always becoming. Over and over again.
